List of tournaments and events for next 6 months
Osu, Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season and feels rested up ,our training resumed last night and I am very excited about the second half of our season. We have number of events coming up over the next 6 months,
The first event is our Kigali Biraki ( 1st training of the year ) for all IKOKC members.This training will take place this Sunday Jan 5 and you can attend this event in person or online, we will be forwarding you an email with the online link which is at the bottom of the page and street address of venue in the next hour so keep an eye on your emails if you are interested in attending.
Our tournament season started a month ago with 2 competitors, Peyton Brosinski and Hailey Hanna travelling to Banff with Senpai Rob and myself .The 2 competitors brought home 2 gold and 3 bronze placings between them, Well done!
The US Weight Category Championships is coming up on Feb 02 in Los Angeles, so far Peyton Brosinski is the only competitor from our dojo registered to compete, if anyone else is interested in attending please reach out to me immediately.
The following list are most of the events for the next 6 months, some are rank restricted such as the Black belt training camp, but the majority of these events are open to anyone willing to participate,
IKOKC Online Kata competition (anyone wishing to participate will be taped Jan 04 at Saturday training)

IKOKC summer camp July 31- Aug 3
There is funding available for anyone willing to represent our dojo in any of these tournaments, the funding is through our COMPETITORS FUND which is a fund we have created with our fund raising events such as the Neufelds food event and the Purdy’s event that were both held before Christmas. I would like to thank everyone who got involved and contributed through these 2 events.
We have a couple of Fund raising events happening in the next couple of months and I would encourage everyone to try to be involved, You all benefit from it.
These events are Pub Night, March 1 2025 at the Ladner Landing and the Kickathon ( date to be announced )
We also have a bottle drive which is on going, the way to participate is to take your recyclable containers in a clear plastic bag to the bottle depot and enter the code 6043062144 , confirm south delta kyokushin karate as the recipient , print your tag’s and place tag on bag.
